454 Life Sciences Corporation, a majority-owned subsidiary of CuraGen Corporation, in collaboration with scientists at Dana Farber Cancer Center and Broad Institute, today reported a new method for the detection of cancer gene mutations present at extremely low levels.
It is heartwarming to see that the scientific community is working ever closer to curing cancer. I just wish they could have saved my aunt from dying of breast cancer. :/

Moral questions are raised: Would sex between a human and a robot be considered actual sex or a form of masturbation? Do we need to protect robots from rape and sexual abuse? is it moral to create robots for deviant sexual urges (child robots for pedophiles, or robots that crave physical abuse for S&M)?
Can you say CREEPY! I guess this is something to think about at any rate. Anyways, I should probably get some sleepp now.

Civil liberties advocacy group the Center for Democracy and Technology and New Yorkers for Fair Use, comprised of businesspeople and technology advocates, both released net neutrality proposals Tuesday, two days before the U.S. Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee is set to debate the issue.
Anyone who knows me very well knows that I am completly opposed to any restriction the the flow of information period. The Net Neutrality bill would prevent large media companies from restricting traffic, such as on demand web streams, from flowing across their networks without you having to pay extra money per month for access to streams, etc.

It seems our friends over at the RIAA just cannot get enough. Apperently its illegal to dance to a song that you are playing in your room and to flm it . . . has the RIAA ever heard of a night club?
