Bots, or “backdoor Trojans,” can turn a computer system into a “zombie,” meaning a hacker can send remote commands to it and perform a variety of tasks. This can include the spread of malware and sending spam, or using the network of computers to launch cyber attacks.
I guess the folks at M$ just woke up and smelled the coffee.
I have been working to fix security vunerabilites in Windows since I as about 10 years old. I guess they have total information overload and are just now getting around to letting us know they are aware of the problem . . . In other news, I am testing Vists and so far I hate to say it is a rather significant inprovment over XP! I’ll write some more about it soon I hope!
