First Ever Artificial heart donated to Smithsonian

The pioneering artificial heart developed by Dr. Robert Jarvik will go on display at the Smithsonian. Jarvik donated one of his newer artificial hearts to the National Museum of American History and is lending the museum the heart that kept a dentist alive for 112 days.

Pretty neat bit of history if you ask me. For a first start 112 days is not to shabby. :)
