The Discovery
I found this video originally while reading the WIRED News RSS feed. I watched the entire video and I was completely fascinated by this brief look into the mind of a modern Renaissance Man who I mainly only knew about from watching the Mythbusters show on television. I watched the video over and over again and my curiosity only grew so I hit the web to see if I could determine where this talk was given. Eventualy, I determined that Mr. Savage was on Twitter, so I sent him a quick question. I figured that I would not hear back from Mr. Savage, if ever, as he is an extremely busy person.
After I few days I checked my Twtitter account and I found the following reply to my question. I was really pumped that the one and only Adam Savage had taken the time to actually reply to my question!
So now I knew that the lecture had been given at The Entertainment Gathering or EG in December of 2008 which took place in Monterey, California. EG appears to be a large gathering of entertainers, musicians, and thinkers. There have been four conferences and I will probably never be able to attend one as tickets cost $4000 a seat and there are only 350 seats total. If you are interested in attending the conference will be on January 21-23, 2010 at the Monterey Conference Center.
My Impressions
At any rate I highly recommend that you watch this viedo and I really appreciate the time that Mr. Savage took out of his busy schedule to speak with me. Please comment below and give me your thoughts on this video.
