Today David Wantanabe announced on his blog that he is releaseing version 1.1 of his popular xtorrent bittorrent client for OS X. I personally think that it is the best bittorrent client available for the Mac and I highly recommend it if you are looking for something lightweight and easy to use. I have been a beta tester since the very beginning and I love it! Head over to Dave’s download page and give it a go!
Here is a short list of the features that have been included in this release:
• individual file selection, so you can pick only the files you need
• file priorities
• a refashioned downloads pane
• significantly faster searching
• faster downloads
Note: The image is the work of Dave himself and he holds all rights to it, I’m just borrowing it to help promote hsi great app.

Looks like the people over at Google Maps have rolled out some interesting new features. They have poseted a video demoing them and I have provided the video below, enjoy!
Below is David Pogue’s review of the iPhone for the The New York Times. It a humorous review but I think its pretty fair. It is one very expensive, yet sexy, cell phone.
No, I don’t have one yet. I just bought a new Macbook Pro, a couch, and a new bed so it will be awhile before I decide if I want to get an iPhone of a Blackberry Curve. Either way I think I’ve decided to Switch to AT&T from Alltel as Alltel’s service in St. Louis has been pretty crappy for me, the coverage is ok I guess but I am missing phone calls and text messages (sometimes by hours) and it is becoming really frustrating.
John Gruber has posted his review of the iPhones that he purchased along with his wife yesterday. He also includes a few photos of the new phone on his Flickr Photostream, and I tink the review is pretty fair as the pros and cons of the phone are discussed. Some people feel John is biased as he is an Apple advocate but I have never felt that (but then again I’m a Mac Fanatic as well :P) way so give a read f you want someone’s first hand impressions of Apple’s latest product roll out.
I hope I find some time to head either to an AT&T store or an Apple store this weekend but I have to do some chores around the apartment first. If anyone has an suggestions on wheter or not I should go with the iPhone or the Curve let me know.
